Dayton Plumbers, Pipefitters and HVAC service techs apprenticeship (start process on Local 162 website!)

Training to become a Plumber, Pipefitter or HVAC Technician is available through an Apprenticeship program offered by Local 162 and sponsored by the Dayton Area Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee. This program is registered with the United States Department of Labor, Bureau of Apprenticeship & Training, and Ohio State Apprenticeship Council.


Plumbers 

UA Plumbers are highly trained professionals responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. 

Key Responsibilities: 

-Install and repair water supply lines, drainage systems, gas lines, and related fixtures and appliances. 

-Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and building codes to determine the layout of plumbing systems. 

-Assemble, install, and test pipes, valves, fittings, and fixtures using hand and power tools. 

-Perform inspections to ensure systems are functioning properly and meet all local and national plumbing codes. 

-Diagnose plumbing issues and implement effective solutions to restore system functionality.
